What would you do if you meet a customer who is being stubborn about something? They have the ability to shun away product innovations. If I am a customer in the same store, I would not hear a word from the customer at all. You always have the hunch about a person who is obstinate, just takes couple of minutes to understand that a person is stubborn as a mule. Some impressions last long, and are right... But if I were a retailer, then I will have to be very patient. Max Kalehoff suggests three keys to deal with customers who are resisting to change:
1. Gauge the Degree of Behavioral Change Required
2. Minimize Consumer Resistance
3. Manage Consumer Resistance
I am glad I am just a customer.

Dealing with obstinate customers
What to do if found yourself with a person like that? Nothing much that you could do, the best thing is to smile away with the argument. The smile always ensures that you are safe, because the adamant is not hurt. That way, the "I will not drink the water" person will put their point across and understand that the other is not buying it. No further pushing their point. Truce... Feel really relieved to get away from some stupid conversation that leads nowhere and guess what... The satisfaction of shutting up someone who is obstinate. :-) Hurray!!!
