Indian Postman

I was watching R.K.Narayan's Malgudi Days sometime ago on the TV. This is how I generally pass my time over the weekends, watching the old serials. Today's episode was on an Indian postman. I was watching this with my parents and my dad was explaining about the role of the postman in a village.

Come to think of this - The postman is a part of everyone's life in a town or village. The postman is the one who can read the ltters, write it, in most of the families. He is a family member in every family. All joys and sorrow are shared with the postman as much as they are with any other family member. When a postman retired, the whole village would be sad about his retirement, because they go back to the times where they have shared their happiest moments and been with them during their low phases.
