Bad news for smokers in India. From Oct 2,
public smoking will be banned in hotels, restaurants, and within office premises. The Union Health Ministry annouced today about the ban. To start with, it would be a fine of Rs.200/-. Going forward, it may increase to Rs.1000/-. It will also levy the fine on the restaurants which allow smoking inside the premises.
What's the good news? The good news is just for the non-smokers who are sick and tired of the smokers in their vicinity. To add to the bad news for the smokers, smoking within their home will also soon be banned. The spouse can complain regarding the partner's smoking and s/he will be fined for the same.
Start giving up smoking... It will be easier for Gandhi Jayanti...
