Politicizing Management

Name an office where one does not witness this. Politics is everywhere. Office politics is often counterproductive. The best thing to do is not to crib about it, but just get smart with the options one has. If you boss or to be boss is getting smart with you, show him/her that you are smart. Not a big deal. What is the worst case scenario? He might resign or would not want to work with you, nothing else. For some managers, the word 'proactive' means a lot. They expect their team members (to-be team members too) to be proactive, often forgetting that being proactive is necessary for them too. If you expect your peer to do something or act in a particular manner, please do that. Dont expect them to be a superhero and do something that you as a human cannot.

For a change, let the managers know that they should be proactive and should grow up...
